HorseTenders

Honey under saddle for the second time with veterinarian student Valerie! Nice job girls.

June 2013

The Winter and Spring of 2013 has been very busy. For those that have fallen through the cracks and have not had emails or phone calls returned in a timely fashion, thank you for sticking with me as I attempt to expand my administrator skills.

Kris trained all Winter and has filled up his Horsemanship Camps. His personalized private clinics are really taking off and if you have not scheduled one, you are missing the opportunity to work one on one with this talented trainer. People are coming to the farm from as far away as Canada, Australia, Oklahoma and North Carolina to work with Kris and Nik this summer.

While Kris has been training, trimming hooves and floating teeth, Nik Kokal has been working diligently on his studies at the University of Glasgow and just completed his second year of Veterinarian studies. Nik continues to encourage his fellow students to complete their externships at the farm in Greenfield to gain Equine Horsemanship skills. Each student leaves with a new idea of gentle horse training and handling skills.

Kris and Nik do continue to provide traditional clinics off the farm. This September has them traveling the USA. They are scheduled for a clinic at Martha’s Vineyard. Kris and Nik have been invited to attend Wild Horse Wild Ride screenings and will be speaking at the Equine Welfare Alliance meeting in Kentucky.

HorseTenders

When you work with an open heart, miracles do happen.

Horse owners want to understand how the non punitive methods work and are finding Kris and Nik a consistent and reliable source for the training of both humans and horses. Kris and Nik continue to put their talents and efforts into and saving as many mustangs as possible with their generous work at the HorseTenders Mustang Foundation registered non profit located at the farm in Greenfield.

Training horses without any yelling or abusive means takes skill. Kris and Nik have been training since they were young teenagers and developed methods that did not require any strength or bulling. They developed these methods all by themselves and from their own hearts. There are still horse owners out there that cannot grasp this concept of complete trust and respectful gentleness. Every day these young men prove that this training works and can be used with great success by the general horse owning industry.

Watching them work with their clients and the horses of all breeds and levels of training has been my distinct pleasure. They continue to amaze us as parents and have become outstanding men and human beings.

Changing the horse world one heart at a time.
