Mustang Vision

Foundations offers a full range of unique, interactive, and effective programs proven to greatly benefit individuals, families, organizations, corporations, or groups of any size. Our “Mustang Assisted Programs” (MAP) enjoin horse & human in a non-threatening environment to learn from each other. These activities allow participants to interact with and observe Mustang behavior, responses, and communication while improving their own self-awareness with amazing results. Using natural instincts and behaviors of the American Mustang as a model for meeting life’s challenges programs are specifically designed to guide participants with actual “hands-on” activities and the creation of insights that are meaningful to their lives to provide practical approaches to understanding, coping, and learning. Foundations programs are not invasive rehabilitation or intrusive therapy. Each program is designed to be short-term interventions with long term results providing common sense approaches to health, personal development, survival, and living.

FAMILIES
Families are the cornerstone of society and our great nation. A herd is not unlike a family where issues arise and need to be addressed. Mustangs are herd animals; they are skilled at maximizing their individual strengths to enhance the safety, survival and effectiveness of their group. By witnessing, studying and understanding these behaviors, we are then able to apply elements of the herd behavior to our own lives and demonstrate how humans can improve the effectiveness of their group as well. Our Foundations Families programs unite herds and families to learn from each other and are developed to help strengthen the bonds of individuals with that of a family group and each other by developing mutual understanding, trust, and respect.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
Foundations Personal Development programs enjoin mustang and human to improve self-awareness, worth, and identity. The program provides a unique opportunity to develop individual talents and potential while building personal human capital to help empower individuals to reach personal goals and aspirations.

LEADERSHIP
Leadership is earned and cannot be received simply because you demand it. Being received as Leader is a privilege given to you by others, not a right. The dynamic of the herd mentality is investigated to observe and experience the natural instincts of effective leadership. The mustangs and their natural abilities provide insights to efficiently and successfully deal with challenges while learning to adapt, overcome & then present effectual direction and guidance to the herd. Foundations Leadership programs are designed to help participants to learn from these incredible traits and then discover how to relate them to operative applications.

EMPOWERING WOMEN
Too often, women find themselves in situations where they feel they cannot properly assert themselves or champion their challenges. The mustangs have a unique ability to effectively handle confrontation and assertion within the herd. Foundations Empowering Women programs guide women through a path of self-awareness and discovery to find inner strength and peace and then apply it to both their personal and professional lives.

POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER (PTSD)
According to recent governmental studies, an estimated 7.8 percent of Americans will experience PTSD at some point in their lives, with women (10.4%) twice as likely as men (5%) to develop PTSD. About 3.6 percent of U.S. adults aged 18 to 54 (5.2 million people) havePTSD during the course of a given year. This represents a small portion of those who have experienced at least one traumatic event; 60.7% of men and 51.2% of women reported at least one traumatic event. PTSD is much more than an individual issue. It directly affects the individual and family members with multi-generational impacts. As kindred spirits, both dealing with coping and adaptation challenges, Foundations programs unite mustang and human to effectively deal with life’s challenges resulting from traumatic exposures.
