Saving Cochise can be considered a miracle. He was a “third-striker”—after a untitled BLM mustang has missed three opportunities to be adopted, he can be dispatched to an unimaginable and less than favorable fate. Fortunately, he made it safely to HorseTenders Mustang Foundation. Cochise is a light bay mustang, almost dun, with a dorsal stripe. He is a handsome boy standing 14.3 hands. He’s under saddle and trail-ridden, with stellar “ground manners”–he stands still for hoof trims and vet care, can be lead easily. He’s strong and loves to go; he would make an excellent endurance horse.
Cochise is a one-person horse–he will give his full trust and his whole heart to one person, but not for just anyone–he would do best with, not necessarily an experienced rider but, someone bold and confident, who is willing to truly bond with him. He wants to be chosen by someone who will always choose him. He’s also quite the “ladies’ man”–all the mares adore him!
