Carmel Duval is a graduate of New Hampshire College (now Southern NH University), where she received her Bachelors Degree in Accounting. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 1992. Carmel is a member of the AICPA, NHSCPA and has served as a CPA with accounting firms and private corporations before opening her own firm in 1999. Carmel is currently the owner of her own accounting practice and has just completed her twelfth year in business. She works out of her home/office in Goffstown, NH. Her practice includes individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax and consulting work. Her focus is on the small business client, allowing her to provide customized assistance in day-to-day operations, or specialized accounting software instruction as needed.
In addition to her business pursuits, Carmel is also an adult educator. As an instructor at Goffstown Area High School’s Adult Education Program she teaches Accounting/QuickBooks® and is also a Certified QuickBooks® Pro Advisor. She is a highly regarded seminar presenter, proffering seminars on topics such as Cash Flow, Financial Health Assessment, Budgeting, Women & Money, Entrepreneurship, and many others. She served as Board Member and Treasure of the New Hampshire Women’s Business Center, an affiliate organization of the U. S. Small Business Administration, from June 2006 through July 2008, where she was instrumental in their First Steps Program providing her expertise on cash flow planning & forecasting.
In her spare time, Carmel enjoys hiking, the outdoors, and is an avid animal lover. She takes great pleasure in spending time with her German Sheppards.
