Kris Kokal, HorseTenders Hoof Care professional , completed his Initial Farrier certifications upon successful completion of Farrier studies in residence at the respected Shur Shod Farrier School, Missouri. Barefoot Trimming training was received through the completion of the extensive AANHCP program. As a result of his extensive Barefoot Trimming and Farrier experience, dedication to the horse, and overwhelming amount of recommendations from our clients, Kris was accepted, attended in residence, and completed the prestigious Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine Farrier program with emphasis in Therapeutic Shoeing. Kris has a strong desire to make the horse world a better place for horses. He has a passion to share his knowledge to educate owners on the benefits of properly maintaining a horse’s hooves.

HorseTenders is committed to keeping current on the latest research in Natural Barefoot Horse Trimming & Farrier approaches. We continue to attend various clinics and certification programs throughout the United States, England, Scotland and continue to travel the world in the ongoing pursuit of enhancing our knowledge and skills.

Barefoot Trims, Natural Trimming Approach

As a result of our in-depth study & experience with Barefoot trimming, Farrier practices and principles, we realized that typical farrier approaches are not necessarily in the best interests of the horse. HorseTenders resultantly developed Natural Trimming approaches among their farrier customers that were found to be of greater benefit to the horse. HorseTenders wholeheartedly believes that natural approaches in trimming and training produce a far more confident, healthy, and wholesome horse. Conversely, we strongly feel that it is just as important to know when shoes may be required for remedial or therapeutic reasons and to provide our customers with comprehensive information, services, expertise and interventions to properly address any issue.

At HorseTenders, we greatly value every customer’s trust they place in us and take our responsibility to our customers seriously. Resultantly, rest assured that HorseTenders is fully insured and that we continually strive to provide premium services at competitive prices.

Travel fees charged for distances more than 20 miles outside of Greenfield, NH. Will travel to northern MA, eastern VT and southern ME. Please contact us for any additional details, pricing information, or to schedule an appointment.
