Dillon was a failed adoption from the mustang adoption event in Swanzey in 2009. Due to inexperienced adopters, he couldn’t be haltered and deemed untrainable. Resultantly, he was left in his stall and never let out. He was put on Craigslist but there were no takers. He was destined for the slaughterhouse when two women rescued him, learned about his fate, and took him home with them. He was turned out to pasture and eventually surrendered to HorseTenders Mustang Foundation.

HorseTenders trainer, Kris, walked into his field and haltered him with no drama and Dillon willingly followed him. He is a true HorseTender success story. Where all others were too easily willing to simply give up on him, Dillon has blossomed into a beautiful, friendly, happy, curious, and trusting companion. What saved him? “Love and understanding!” His HorseTenders lead education has grown by leaps and bounds.
